Gentle In-Home Veterinary Support for Aging Pets in Magnolia, TX and Surrounding Communities
At Crossway Veterinary Housecalls, we care for pets through every stage of life, including the quiet, tender season of aging. As your pet grows older, their needs shift in ways that deserve extra attention and compassion. Whether it’s managing chronic pain, supporting quality of life, or helping you prepare for a peaceful goodbye, our veterinary team is here to guide and support your family with clinical skill and heartfelt care.
We provide in-home senior pet care and end-of-life services for dogs and cats in Magnolia, Conroe, The Woodlands, Montgomery, and nearby areas. Being at home helps reduce stress for your pet and allows us to observe them in the space they know best.
If your pet is showing signs of aging, or if you’re beginning to think about what comfort looks like in their final chapter, we welcome your call. This journey is not one you need to walk alone.
Senior Pet Wellness at Home
Most dogs begin showing signs of age around seven years old, with large breeds aging even sooner. Cats often enter their senior years around ten. Older pets may seem slower, less interested in play, or may experience changes in appetite, sleep, or mobility.
Home visits give our veterinary team a unique window into your pet’s daily habits. You can show us where they eat, rest, and struggle. We bring the full capabilities of a mobile veterinary hospital to your driveway so we can:
Our veterinarian has emergency medicine training and years of experience caring for senior pets. We look for patterns, subtle signs of decline, and emerging conditions so that we can intervene early and support quality of life.
Managing Chronic Conditions with Compassion
Senior pets often face long-term health issues that benefit from steady, compassionate care. At Crossway Veterinary Housecalls, we help manage conditions such as kidney or liver disease, diabetes, arthritis, heart problems, cognitive decline, and certain cancers—all in the comfort of your home. This calm setting helps your pet feel safe while giving our veterinary team a clear view of how they’re coping day to day. We use in-home diagnostics, medication planning, and consistent follow-up to support both your pet’s health and your peace of mind.
What Hospice Care Looks Like
When cure is no longer the goal, hospice care focuses on quality of life. It’s about preserving comfort, dignity, and the deep connection you share with your pet. We assist with pain management, mobility support, nutrition, and thoughtful planning for what lies ahead. These moments can be emotional. Our role is to guide, listen, and help you feel supported each step of the way.

In-Home Euthanasia: Saying Goodbye with Grace
Deciding when to say goodbye is one of the most difficult choices a pet owner will ever face. We understand the weight of that moment, and we handle every euthanasia visit with the deepest respect.
At home, your pet can rest in their favorite spot, surrounded by the people who love them most. There is no rush, no cold exam table, no unfamiliar smells. Our veterinary team will explain the process step by step, answer all your questions, and make sure your pet is calm and pain-free.
We can assist with aftercare arrangements and provide options for cremation or memorials if desired. If faith is part of your family’s foundation, we are honored to support you in that way as well.
This service is never routine to us. Each life matters, and we carry that belief into every visit.
When Emergency Care Is Needed
There are moments when home care is not the safest option. We will clearly recommend emergency care if your pet experiences uncontrolled bleeding, collapse, seizures, trauma, paralysis, or rapid bloating. In these situations, we help connect you with trusted 24/7 emergency veterinary hospitals in our area.
For safety reasons, please note that we do not see aggressive pets in the home setting.
